Program Overview
The Division of Biological Sciences at IISc Bangalore invites applications for regular PhD and Integrated PhD programmes in Biochemistry, Molecular Reproduction, Development and Genetics (MRDG), Microbiology and Cell Biology (MCB), and Centre for BioSystems Science and Engineering (BSSE).
Eligibility & Selection Channels
- Direct PhD: Master’s degree in Sciences / B.Tech in Biotechnology with a valid fellowship from CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, or top 100 percentile in GATE.
- Integrated PhD: Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Chemical or Biological Sciences with a valid JAM 2026 score.
